Chiropractor: Yes / No / Maybe ?!?!?!

Have you ever seen a chiropractor?

Many people have mixed feelings about them.

I have talked to people who hate them and others who can't live with out them!

Well thats me and this entre post is about; how much I love my chiropractor!

So if your not into chiropractic care disregard now, and maybe find another post about ODIN instead!

So lets get started.

I have been seeing a chiropractor regularly since I was about 14.

At first I would just go with my dad to his appointments, and over time the chiropractor started working on me as well. These adjustments were more preventative medicine I suppose.

When I was 14 I was already in a size DD and the strain on my back and upper body was a lot to handle. So going to the chiropractor once a week helped keep things aligned while I grew and carried that extra weight around.

Now that I am older its more for pain relief, and maintenance.

I see my chiropractor about twice a month now for general alignments.

I always feel like a new person when I leave, and love how gentle Dr. Lee is in my adjustments.

It only takes minimal pressure to re-align my back, and Dr. Lee has found that gentle touch.

Since I have been going regularly I have noticed several health benefits:

Regularity (in the bathroom)
Increased Energy
Muscle Relaxation
Improved Immune System
Decreased Pain
Increased Flexibility

and this is just to name a few

Here are some fun Stats:

As you can see I have seen many benefits from seeing a chiropractor regularly, and if your in the market for a new Dr. I would 100% recommend Dr. Lee

Our Stay At Lake Tahoe Lodge | Stardust

Jake and I recently stayed at Lake Tahoe Lodge | Stardust and were pleasantly surprised with the room, rates, and over all customer service of the staff.

We called on our way up to South Lake Tahoe on Saturday morning around 9am.

Emily greeted us with a friendly helpful voice, and offered a grate room rate for that evening. Emily explained that the room was clean and ready and any time we wanted to check in, we could.

We arrived at the lodge around 10:30 to be checked into a beautifully cleaned room.

(Talk about excellent service! Called at 9:00am and checked in and unpacked by 10:30!)

We stayed in a studio, that was small but beautiful.

Here are a few pictures

Overall Room

Cute table for two - The Lodge also provided a complimentary continental breakfast that we brought back to the room and ate here.

The bed is a Murphy style bed that pulls down from the wall

It was nice to be able to pull the bed down at night and put it back up when it wasn't in use.

The room had a full kitchen that included, kitchenettes with refrigerators, microwaves, toasters, blenders, on-request electric fry pans and hot plates, all tableware , silverware, stove, and dish washer!

Flat screen TV with Free Movie rentals in the office.

Bathroom was big enough for both of us to get ready at the same time!

Clean bathrooms are a MUST and this bathroom was perfect!

You can't see it in this picture but the shower had two shower heads! Perfect for couples!

Over all the room was very clean, and comfortable.

The lodge recently went through renovations and the upgrades can be spotted everywhere; from super chic wall decor, granite counter tops, and hand tiled showers, quality and functionality shows at every turn in this studio.

Amenities & Services at the Stardust Lodge include:

  • Free property wide Wi-Fi Internet
  • Year round heated pool, with a second heated pool open in the summer
  • Hot tub
  • Free cookies at check in, Continental Breakfast and coffee and popcorn all day
  • Free DVD library
  • Free bikes & seasonal equipment like sleds and snowshoes
  • Fitness room
  • Free private beach pass
  • Free on-site laundry
  • Free public computer & printer
  • BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits year round
  • Picnic tables (seasonal)
  • Activities Center, offering daily hosted group activities
  • Free parking

As perfect as the lodge was the staff was even better!

From Jenny, the night staff in the office who recommended the best place to grab dinner (plus gave us a coupon) to Emily in the morning who was able to get us a great room rate, to Kenny who is the site manager. All the staff we interacted with were charming, charismatic, and friendly.

Jake and I loved the Lake Tahoe Lodge | Stardust so much we booked for this weekend too!

The second best part aside from the clean rooms and friendly staff the walk to the gondola! Jake and I could see the Heavenly Gondola from our room! A quick walk across the street and we were on our way to the top of the mountain!

If your looking for a great room at affordable prices that is clean, friendly, and upscale I would 100% recommend Lake Tahoe Lodge | Stardust!

It is truly a skiers paradise away from home!

Sweet Reminders

Have you ever gotten a sweet reminder that your loved.

The kind that brings a smile to your face, and brightens your day.

This happened to me yesterday. A sweet friend close to my heart unexpectedly texted me with this;

I imediatley felt loved, and wanted.

Feeling wanted isn't something that came natural to me. I always struggled to get attention growing up and it lead to some poor choices.  But thats a different topic!

Today I want to focus on the feelings of being loved that I felt yesterday after receiving this text.

It important that we all get conformation that other people love and value us.

So today right now text, call, send an emoji, what ever it is that you need to do to make someone feel loved and wanted today, DO IT!

Make someones day! Make someone feel loved!

This sweet text was all I needed to make my Monday Blues vanish in an instant!

Our Stay at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino | Lake Tahoe

Recently Jake and I took a weekend trip to South Lake Tahoe to ski at Heavenly Ski Resort

We like to take weekend trips and usually stay at other hotels, but decided to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino this time and were so impressed!

The suit we stayed in was luxurious and sophisticated. The room was beautifuly furnished with a separate living and bedroom area. The separation was so nice when we had my cousin and her husband over for a night cap. We were able to hang out with plenty of sitting room and a balcony that over looked the shores of Lake Tahoe.

Here are a few pictures of our beautiful room

Some of the Room Amenities include:

Thick terry robesHair dryerPremium pillowsPremium duvetsSelect fine cotton bed linersLuxurious bathroom towelingPure natural bath productsWired and wireless InternetIn-room safeMulti-line telephone with voicemailBedside outlet for mobile phonesIron and ironing boardRefrigerated private barsCoffee makers
& so much more

We loved the selection of bath products offered, and using the terry robes in the morning while we sat on the balcony.

We only ate at one restaurant during our stay. We ate at Fire-Break and had the Super Nachos that we shared. They were good, but I wish we had time to try a few more places. There's always next time!

Over all we loved staying at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino | Lake Tahoe and are looking forward to our next visit laster this month!

Super Bowl 50

Super Bowl 50 is this Sunday, and I can't wait!

I am sure I am like most women out there... I can honestly say that I don't watch football any other time then Super Bowl.

But none the less I still am excited to celebrate and watch the big game.

I wanted to share a few outfit ideas, and quick treats to bring to your big party.

I love the idea of comfy, cute outfits.
Game day is all about being comfortable! And lets be real its about what pants work for your game day gorging.

Here are a few ideas

Okay, now to the yummies! I don't know about you but, I don't have a house big enough to host parties... Womb Womp

But rest assured, even though I can't host, I still can bring a mean appetizer or yummy snack!

Here are a few of my Go-To's

Chips and Fresh Homemade Guacamole

I like the idea of creating a cute football from an extra avocado!

Chocolate Dipped Pretzels

Super easy and yummy.

Dip pretzels in Chocolate, cool, and decorate to look like footballs!

Football Deviled Eggs.

Hands down this is what I bring overtime! Deviled eggs are easy, healthy and delicious!

I made these exact ones last year and they were a big hit!

and finally... this yummy treat is sure to impress.

Chocolate covered strawberries are easy, and always a hit!

I hope you enjoy this Super Bowl 50!

Half Moon Bay Day Trip

When I was in my twenties I happen to stumble upon the most amazing beach, off the California coast.

Ever since I have loved coming to this beach. It has always been a place of happy memories, and joyful times.

So naturally shortly after jake and I met we found ourselves at this beach. Over the past two years we have been dating we have come several times.

A few weekends back we decided to take a day trip to the beach. We had a relaxing morning getting ready, and headed out to the beach.

We got there just a little after lunch so we stopped on the side of the path and had a picnic lunch we packed. Yummy chicken salad, champagne, cheese, fruit, and crackers. It was the perfect picnic.

After we ate we started down the path to the ocean.

It is a beautiful half mile walk down to the cliffs then a steep walk down to the beach. There is an optional walk along the side of the cliffs that we have taken before, however there is no beach access only beautiful views.

We chose to head straight down to the beach.

I am not sure if Odin loves it more or if we love it more...

He had so much fun running around the beach playing fetch, digging hols, and running!

When he was running along the water he looked like a little wolf running!

We stayed just long enough to watch the sunset. It was stunning...

Just wanted to share a few photos our our day trip. We always enjoy our time here, and always look forward to our next trip there!

Life is Good

Life is good.

That has been my motto lately.

I recently got a big promotion at work, and finally feel like I am where I am suppose to be in my career.

It is such a satisfying feeling.

My relationship is good and moving in the right direction.

My pup is good and behaving and listening more and more every day.

My health is good, I have even lost 13 pounds in the last month.

Over all I am happier then I have ever been.

I sometimes sit back and look at my life and what is going on and am truly amazed at how blessed I am.

I am so thankful to God that He has provided an amazing and abundant life.

So yeah life is  good.

Really good.

For now, and I am truly so happy that it is.
